“Reframing Aging”
Featured Speaker: Moira O’Neil
Frameworks Institute

Twice a year, the Seniors’ Agenda Network Summit brings together nearly 200 professional, aging advocates, and elected officials to actively engage in meaningful learnings to strengthen our community for older adults.

This Summit’s keynote will be Moira O’Neil, senior researcher and director of research interpretation and application at the Frameworks Institute.  Join Moira O’Neil as she shares her experience as a researcher on the Reframing Aging Project, an initiative of the Leaders of Aging Organizations (AARP, National Council on Aging, American Society on Aging and five others).  She will discuss the comparison of public and expert thinking on aging and recommendations on how to reframe aging in order to build broad support for policies and programs that promote the well-being of older adults.

The 2017 Seniors’ Agenda Network Summit will highlight:

  • Recognition of Mountain View, Campbell, Milpitas, Palo Alto and Santa Clara as designated World Health Organization Age Friendly Cities.
  • Be in the know about upcoming events and programs including Falls Prevention Day, Health Fairs, File for Life.
  • Celebrate accomplishments including new programs and new funding.
  • Network with other professionals, activists and policy makers.

The Seniors’ Agenda is a collective impact project lead by the County of Santa Clara, Department of Aging and Adult Services.  Our goal is to be the first County in the United States to have all cities and the county be a part of the global network of Age-friendly Cities.
